If you do not receive a confirmation within a few minutes, please check your spam folder or contact us at info@lunaireworks.com.
No. There is no minimum order quantity. Because we manufacture every panel ourselves at our Cambridgeshire workshop, you can order a single pack for a small area or a large quantity for an entire project. Trade and bulk-order discounts are available on request — see the Trade and Custom Orders section below for more detail.
We begin processing orders quickly — often the same day — so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change or cancel. Email info@lunaireworks.com or call us on +44 33 0043 9923 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT) and we will do our best to accommodate your request before the order is dispatched.
If your order has already been dispatched, you are still entitled to return it under our 30-day return policy. Please refer to the Returns and Refunds section below for full details.
The cut-off time for same-day dispatch is 2:00 PM (Monday to Friday, GMT). Orders placed before this time on a working day are dispatched the same day in most cases. Orders placed after 2:00 PM, at weekends, or on UK bank holidays are processed and dispatched on the next working day.
Custom or bespoke-sized panels require 1 to 2 additional working days for manufacture before dispatch.
Yes. You will receive an automated order confirmation email to the address you provide at checkout. A second email containing your tracking information is sent as soon as your order leaves our workshop. If you do not receive either email, please check your spam or junk folder, then contact us at info@lunaireworks.com.
Not currently. We ship to addresses within the United Kingdom only. We do not ship to the Republic of Ireland, the EU, or any other international destinations at this time. We are working towards expanding our shipping coverage in the future and will announce any changes on our website.
All prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of UK VAT where it is applicable. No additional tax is added at checkout. Our VAT registration number is GB433989551. If you require a VAT invoice for your records, please contact us after placing your order and we will issue one promptly.
Shipping & Delivery
8 questionsDelivery is free on all orders to addresses within the United Kingdom. There is no minimum spend and no delivery charge is added at checkout. The price you see on the product page is the full price you pay.
All orders are dispatched from our own warehouse and workshop in Peterborough, United Kingdom. We do not use dropshipping and we do not dispatch orders from any third-party fulfilment centre. Every order is packed and sent directly by our team.
For standard products, orders are handled within 1 working day and many are dispatched the same day when placed before 2:00 PM on a working day. Once dispatched, delivery takes 1 to 2 working days to most UK addresses.
Custom or bespoke-sized panels require 1 to 2 additional working days for manufacture before dispatch. You will receive a tracking email as soon as your order is on its way.
We use Evri, Parcelforce, or DHL to deliver your order. The courier is selected automatically based on the size of your order and your delivery postcode, so we cannot always confirm which carrier will be used at the time of ordering. All services include tracking, and you will receive a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched.
A tracking link is sent to the email address you provided at checkout as soon as your order leaves our workshop. Click the link to follow your delivery in real time via the courier's website. If you have not received a tracking email within the expected dispatch window, please check your spam folder and then contact us if it is still missing.
Some of our courier partners do deliver on Saturdays, but this is not guaranteed and cannot be selected as a fixed option at checkout. If you have a specific delivery day requirement, please contact us before placing your order and we will try to accommodate it. We do not dispatch orders on Sundays or UK bank holidays.
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery window, please first check your tracking link (sent by email when your order was dispatched). If tracking shows a delay or your parcel appears to be lost, contact us at info@lunaireworks.com with your order number and we will investigate with the courier and arrange a resolution as quickly as possible.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be delivered within the period agreed at the time of purchase or, if no specific date was given, within a reasonable time. If a parcel is confirmed lost, we will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no additional cost to you.
If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the damage and the outer packaging, then email us at info@lunaireworks.com with your photos and order number. We aim to respond within one working day. We will either send a replacement or arrange a full refund, depending on your preference. You are not required to return damaged goods at your own expense.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and as described. Damaged goods on arrival do not meet this standard, and you are entitled to a remedy without incurring any additional cost.
Returns & Refunds
6 questionsWe offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all standard products. If you change your mind for any reason, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will arrange a return. This goes beyond the 14-day statutory cooling-off period provided under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — we offer longer because we would rather give you more time to decide.
Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and in suitable packaging. Once we confirm your return request, you have a further 14 days to send the item back to us.
To start a return, email us at info@lunaireworks.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will confirm your return request and provide you with the return address and any instructions. Please do not send items back before receiving confirmation from us.
- Contact us by email within 30 days of receiving your order
- Include your order number and reason for return
- Wait for our confirmation and return instructions
- Send the item back within 14 days of our confirmation
- Retain proof of postage until your refund is confirmed
Refunds are processed within 10 business days of us receiving your returned item. You will be refunded to the original payment method you used at checkout. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds may take a further 1 to 5 business days to appear in your account once the refund has been issued by us.
If you do not receive your refund within this timeframe, please contact your bank first, then reach out to us if the issue is not resolved.
For change-of-mind returns on standard products, the cost of return postage is the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage until your refund has been confirmed.
If you are returning an item because it arrived damaged, faulty, or not as described, we will cover the cost of return postage. Contact us first and we will arrange collection or provide a prepaid label.
Custom or bespoke-sized panels are made specifically to your measurements and cannot be resold, so they are not eligible for a change-of-mind return. This is a standard exception under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exclude goods made to a consumer's specification from the standard right of cancellation.
However, if your custom panels arrive damaged, faulty, or materially different from what you ordered, you remain fully protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and we will arrange a replacement or refund promptly.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a product you receive does not meet any of these criteria, you are entitled to a full remedy. Contact us at info@lunaireworks.com with your order number and a description (and photo) of the issue. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund as appropriate.
You have up to 30 days from delivery to reject a faulty item outright and receive a full refund. After 30 days, you retain the right to a repair or replacement, and if this cannot be completed within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a price reduction or refund.

Our standard panels are made from premium paintable MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). They are supplied in 6mm or 9mm thickness — other thicknesses are available by request — sanded smooth and ready to prime and paint. The MDF we use is sourced from suppliers certified to the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain-of-custody standard.
For kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms with higher ambient moisture, we also supply a moisture-resistant (MR) MDF option. Please note that MR MDF is moisture resistant, not waterproof. It should not be installed in areas with direct water contact, such as inside a shower enclosure.
Yes. The MDF and HDF boards we use are sourced from suppliers who hold the following certifications:
- FSC Chain-of-Custody — confirming responsible forest management and sourcing
- CARB and EPA TSCA Title VI — among the most stringent internationally recognised standards for low formaldehyde emissions from engineered wood products
Our boards are independently tested for low chemical emissions and are suitable for everyday indoor use in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and most standard domestic interiors. These certifications comply with the requirements of the UK REACH regulation and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Yes. All our standard and MR MDF panels are sanded smooth and are ready to prime and paint. We recommend applying one coat of a good-quality MDF primer before your chosen topcoat paint, which ensures even coverage and prevents any absorption into the board surface. The smooth finish of our panels produces a clean, professional result with standard emulsion or eggshell paints.
Yes. Because we manufacture every panel at our own workshop in Cambridgeshire, we are able to offer custom heights, widths, thicknesses, and pack quantities on most of our range — without the long lead times or large minimum orders you would typically expect from a bespoke joinery service. Email us at info@lunaireworks.com with your measurements and we will provide a direct quote. Custom orders typically require 1 to 2 additional working days for manufacture before dispatch.
Yes. If you would like to check the finish, thickness, or texture of our panels before committing to a full order, please contact us at info@lunaireworks.com or visit our Samples page. We would rather you are confident in what you are ordering than have to deal with a return.
Standard MDF panels are not suitable for areas with high or prolonged moisture exposure, such as bathrooms, utility rooms, or kitchens. For these rooms, we supply a Moisture-Resistant (MR) MDF option, which is designed to withstand higher ambient humidity.
Important: MR MDF is moisture resistant, not waterproof. It must not be installed in areas with direct water contact — such as inside a shower enclosure, directly behind a tap, or in contact with standing water. Always ensure surfaces are dry before and during installation.
Every panel sold by Lunaire Works is designed, cut, and packed at our own workshop in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. We do not import finished panels and relabel them. In-house manufacturing means we maintain direct quality control over every order, and it is also what allows us to offer custom sizes, thicknesses, and pack quantities without minimum order requirements.
We work with suppliers certified under the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain-of-custody scheme, which requires verified responsible forest management and traceability throughout the supply chain. We choose suppliers based on their ability to demonstrate responsible sourcing, not solely on cost.
We also cut panels to the sizes customers actually need, rather than mass-producing standard sizes. This reduces offcut waste at our workshop. Our panels are designed for long-term installation — a properly fitted panel wall can outlast many rounds of redecorating, making it a more durable choice than wallpaper or paint alone.
Payment & Checkout
5 questionsWe accept all major credit and debit cards, digital wallets, and buy-now-pay-later options. The following payment methods are available at checkout:
Yes. Checkout is processed through Shopify Payments, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. All payment data is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security). We never see, store, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive card details — these are handled exclusively by the payment processor.
Our website also runs on HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate, so every page you visit is protected. If you have any concerns about the security of your payment, please contact us before completing your order.
All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. There are no hidden fees, currency conversion charges, or additional costs added after you begin the checkout process. The price shown on the product page is the final price you pay.
Yes. If you require a formal VAT invoice for your records — for example, for a business expense claim — please email us at info@lunaireworks.com after placing your order. Include your order number and business name and we will issue a VAT invoice promptly. Our VAT registration number is GB433989551.
Your card or payment method is charged at the point of completing your order — i.e. when you confirm and submit your purchase at checkout. You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after payment is taken. If for any reason your order cannot be fulfilled, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.
Installation & Safety
6 questionsInstallation is designed to be a straightforward DIY job. Full step-by-step guidance is included with every order and is available on each product page. The general process is as follows:
- Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease
- Measure and plan your layout before cutting or fixing anything
- Fix panels to the wall using a suitable construction adhesive, nails, or screws — or a combination
- Cut panels to length using a hand saw, mitre saw, or circular saw
- Fill any gaps or nail holes with a decorator's filler before priming and painting
If you get stuck at any stage, contact us and we will talk you through it.
For most standard panel installations, you will need the following:
- A hand saw, mitre saw, or circular saw for cutting panels to length
- A tape measure and pencil for marking measurements
- A spirit level to ensure panels are straight
- Construction adhesive (such as a grab adhesive or No More Nails) and/or a nail gun or screws
- MDF primer and your chosen topcoat paint
- Decorator's filler and sandpaper for finishing
We also stock mouldings, capping strips, and accessories that can be purchased alongside your panels. See our Accessories collection for more.
Yes. Cutting or sanding MDF produces fine wood dust particles. You should take the following precautions in line with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance on wood dust:
- Wear a well-fitting dust mask rated at least FFP2 when cutting, sanding, or routing MDF
- Wear safety glasses or goggles to protect your eyes from airborne particles
- Wear protective gloves when handling cut edges
- Work in a well-ventilated area or outdoors where possible
- Use dust extraction equipment with power tools where practicable
These precautions apply to any MDF product, regardless of brand or source. Our boards carry low-emission certification, but dust is still a physical irritant and should be managed appropriately.
Our panels are designed for DIY installation. You do not need any specialist training or qualifications. If you are comfortable with basic measuring, cutting, and decorating tasks, you will be able to install our panels yourself. Full installation instructions are supplied with every order.
If you would prefer to use a tradesperson, a decorator or general builder can install our panels easily. We are also happy to suggest tips for briefing a tradesperson if that would be helpful — just contact us.
Yes, we recommend applying at least one coat of MDF primer before your chosen topcoat paint. MDF can absorb paint unevenly if applied directly, particularly along cut edges, which can result in a patchy or raised finish. A good-quality MDF primer seals the surface and gives a much smoother, more uniform result for your final topcoat — whether you are using emulsion, eggshell, or a satinwood finish.
Absolutely. If you run into a difficulty at any point during your project, please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can contact us by email at info@lunaireworks.com, by phone on +44 33 0043 9923, or via live chat on our website during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT). We are a small team and we reply directly — we want every installation to go well.

Yes. We work with interior designers, architects, and specifiers who require consistent quality, custom sizing, and the ability to order directly to a project schedule.
